Sub.: Updation of PAN details of Dealers/ Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors.

This is in continuation to Exchange notice no. 20180221-36 dated February 21, 2018 and 20180322-2 dated March 22, 2018 wherein stock brokers were reminded to update the PAN details of Dealers/ Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors.

PAN details of Dealers:
Stock brokers vide BSE notice no. 20161214-4 dated December 14, 2016, 20161215-6 dated December 15, 2016, 20161226-5 dated December 26, 2016 20170302-8 dated March 2, 2017, 20170419-12 dated April 19, 2017, 20170607-9 dated June 7, 2017 and 20170623-2 dated June 23, 2017 were required to provide the PAN details of the dealers. Path to update the PAN details of dealers is as given below:

UCC >> Location ID Registration >> Download PAN Report >> Download Blank PAN No. file

Stock brokers were also reminded to refer “Download Invalid PAN no.” and “Download Dealer PAN mismatch report” wherein PAN no./First name /middle name /Last name of the dealer as updated by you does not match with income tax details.

PAN details of Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors:
Exchange vide notice no. 20161128-23 dated November 28, 2016, and Notice no. 20161213-29 dated December 13, 2016 had informed regarding Online Capturing of Trading Member details through BEFS (BSE Electronic Filing System). Path to update the PAN details of Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors is as given below:

Directors:-
BEFS>>Capturing member details>> Member details>>General details>>Point no.6 Directors

Exchange vide aforesaid notices had advised the trading members to update the details of members, in BEFS (BSE Electronic Filing system) under the heading “Capturing Member Details” and to furnish the details of their Key Management Personnel (KMP) (including Directors) along with their PAN and any change thereof in BEFS.

Further Exchange has also issued notice no. 20180214-31 dated February 14, 2018 with regards to revised penalty structure wherein it is mentioned that:

“Penalty of Rs 5000/-, per annum/warning for, non-submission/incorrect submission of PAN of Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors/Dealers etc. within the time specified.”

Stock brokers may note that failure to submit/update the PAN details of Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors/Dealers latest by April 30, 2018 will be considered as non compliance and will attract a penalty of Rs 5000/- each as per above mentioned notices of the Exchange.

Stock brokers are also required that any change in the aforesaid information should be updated within 7 days of such change, failing which it will be considered as non compliance.

In view of the above, stock brokers are once again reminded to update of PAN details of Dealers/ Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs)/Directors latest by April 30, 2018 in order to avoid the above mentioned penalty.
